Close-up of a single, dried flower head against a soft, blurry turquoise background, evoking the delicate precision required in associate training.

Thank you for this! My 7 year old son loves the breathing time we’ve made a routine after dinner as a family. When we forget to do it, he always reminds us. Oftentimes he will become so relaxed that he falls asleep which prompts giggles from his sisters and questions from my husband if its working for him or not. I’m glad to read here that it is!

Learning to take small frequent moments of meditation in stillness throughout the day has made all the difference. Like you said, it is like “building muscle.”

I was able to enjoy the entire class! The video recordings made me feel like I was there! Very valuable! I’ve been stressed out for a few years, so finally I’m taking the opportunity to find ways to improve my health! Look forward to next week’s class.

Another very important take-away from your class (for me) was the idea that it is a normal function of the mind to wander. That it is what all minds do! In the past 20+ years of meditation I would get stuck in getting angry with myself for all the thoughts and negative thoughts that would “interfere” with the meditation. I no longer look at it as wrong or “interfering” and it is easier to return to the object of meditation after the mind wanders. Your class is a treasure. I have so much to thank you for. A very deep bow to you.

This course was so helpful. Dr. Levine makes it very clear and dispelled the myth that ‘you’re not bad at mindfulness’ right off the bat. I always avoided mindfulness because I thought I was bad at it. He made this easy to understand and very applicable. Now I can help my clients with this topic.

Dr. Levine has such a calming presence and I loved how he said people say Mindfulness is not for them. I literally have said that so many times to myself and others. With his help, I finally understand it a bit better. So grateful for him taking the time to teach this.Mindfulness can be for me. I always thought it wasn’t for me and that I was bad at it because I couldn’t stay focused.

I always thought that if I couldn’t stay focused I was doing it wrong.

The course was very helpful in learning to accept and experience uncomfortable sensations, thoughts without judging them. This also helped allow them to be present without me reacting negatively to them or feel threatened by them. I’m really grateful I was able to participate. I learned a lot. The experience doing the meditation together as a group and then sharing about it was really helpful. The knowledge and expertise that Dr. Levine shared with us made sense to me. I am encouraged to continue in the process of doing the meditation daily. Thanks so much.

I learned that mindfulness meditation can change the way my body and brain respond to stress. I was very satisfied. I hope there will be more classes available in the future. I’m also interested in studies and classes that can be helpful to people who struggle with addictions and mental illness.
